A fine Philippine storage box from the northern island of Luzon The box hewn from a single piece of Philippine pine, a wood noted for its weight and durability. The box showing the adze marks and with particularly interesting carving marks at the end of the boxes. From the collection of Tadashi Morita noted Japanese folk art collector, author and dealer. The box published in the book "Hibi, Nomi no Ichi" 2015, p.18. Exhibited in the exhibit "Komingei Mrita no Me" ("Aesthetic Eyes of Morita Tadashi") at Koriyama Museum of Art.
