A Solomon Islands (Santa Cruz) feather currency belt used in marriage dowry exchanges.  Reportedly taking 700 hours to produce they represent the most valuable object ceremonially exchanged at marriages. Feathers are attached to plaques, which are then joined together to create the long roll. This example with heavy wear and loss from age. On contemporary stand.
