A Japanese lacquer worker's work table with two raised rails for holding drying boards. This table would have been used for working on bowls or small items. As each piece had been given a coat of lacquer it would be put on a drying rack which would have rested on the raised rails. Once full the drying racks would be placed in a drying chamber. The surface covered with heavy lacquer build up and drippings. 20th century30 ½” x 19 ½” x 9 ½” high
