Details

A fine and large group of Japanese gilt wood lotus blossoms, originally placed on an altar. The set consisting of a group of 13 consisting of blossoms, leaves and seed pods, and an identical but mirror image group of an additional 13 stems (for a total of 26 pieces) each in cast bronze vases. The lotus is a symbol of beauty and perfection. The lotus is also the symbol of Buddha, because just as the lotus emerges from the mud to bloom in perfection, Buddha was born of this earth but attained enlightenment. With minor wear and patina from age and use. One vase with loose lion side handle.

Each group 49" high and approximately 28" deep or wide
